Imagine if you were asked to transfer 10 sacks of rice to a distance of 20 kilometers and all you have is your trusty old bicycle, wouldn’t that be such a pain? Unless you were a born athlete and you can bike for a whole day, I seriously think it’s going to be an impossible task. That is, if you’d be just using a bicycle. But if you had a truck, then the task would be as easy as eating pie.
As we all know, trucks are powerful vehicles designed to transport or carry heavy loads or in some cases, special equipment. Trucks enable us to finish work faster. Thanks to trucks, we no longer have to individually carry materials to build a house!
Just like any other mechanical equipment, trucks are made of parts. Theses truck parts, which make the truck a whole, are responsible for the efficient work of the vehicle. A truck is typically composed of a chassis, an engine, a suspension, a cab, axles, and trailers.
A chassis is basically the supporting frame or the base frame of an automobile. It holds the vehicle’s body and motor. The engine is the truck part that is responsible for converting energy from the burning of fuel to mechanical force which causes the vehicle to move. The axle is supporting shaft where the wheel revolves. It keeps the wheel in a consistent and relative position to the other wheels and to the body of the vehicle. The cab, on the other hand, is the enclosed compartment where the driver is seated. It also serves to protect the driver. The last and definitely not the least basic part, is the suspension. It is the collection of springs, linkages and shock absorbers that ensure a safe travel. It also makes the travel comfortable despite the bumps on the road.
These truck parts have different roles to play to make sure the truck works properly. Each part is equally important to the other for without the proper function of one, the truck as a whole will not work they way it should. On their own, the parts seem to be useless but together, they create a powerful machine. That is why if a truck part is damaged, it should be replaced by an original part, if possible, one that is identically the same to the damaged one. Although it may cost you, you can be confident in its efficiency.
